Mother Samus - Metroid Fan Art

Many see her as a ruthless, cold-hearted hunter. Her job demands it, and yet, few still manage to spark a sliver of compassion. It was in that brief moment of vulnerability when human empathy pierced the steel curtain shielding her heart. For a brief moment, she was just an accidental mother, after witnessing the birth of this now orphaned creature able to break her resolve after she had laid waste to it's family for the greater good.

This fan-art piece is aimed to depict one of the less explored facets of one of my favorite characters in video games, Samus Aran from Metroid.
